As she came out of the water, the first thing to deal with was the plastic bag hooked on the prop -I bet we brought it all the way from Genoa Bay! Other than a bigger cluster of hard growth on the keel base and some leading edges, the wear was quite even, with minimal remains. I was worried that I'd be dealing with having to remove some of the old paint, but not an issue. The weather was co-operating; warm, but not too hot, so was able to get 2 well cured coats, with a 3rd on the leading edges. The bottom's lookin' spiffy, and it will be nice to see a return of hull speed.
Our zippy Volti has been less so over the past while. Growth accumulates quite rapidly, and I probably should have given her a fresh coat of anti fouling last season, so this was a priority for this year. I would have done her much earlier in the year, but it was way too cold to even consider during the school spring break, and this was the first opportunity I had to get it taken care of.
